Canada Ranked Highest for Quality of Life Worldwide

Need another reason to buy real estate in Canada? How about the fact that the country was recently ranked number one in terms of quality of life worldwide! Although the icy weather may sometimes make this hard to believe, Canada is the best country to live in.

 

US News and World Report recently published its annual rankings where they compared 80 countries. These countries were ranked in a number of categories, such as Quality of Life, Adventure, Movers, Citizenship, Cultural Influence, Entrepreneurship, Heritage, Open for Business, and Power.

 

Canada was named the best country in the world for quality of life. This category is measured based on 75 different factors such as affordability, job markets, politics, safety, the economy, and security. The other countries in the top six were Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and Finland. This is the fourth year in a row that Canada has come out on top for this category!

 

Not only was Canada ranked best for the quality of life, but the country was also named the third best country overall. We came in after Switzerland and Japan. The top ten list for best countries overall is:

 

  1. Switzerland
  2. Japan
  3. Canada
  4. Germany
  5. United Kingdoms
  6. Sweden
  7. Australia
  8. United States
  9. Norway
  10. France

 

Canada ranked well in the other categories as well. The nation made it into the top 20 for six of these other categories. Canada came in 2nd for Citizenship, 6th for Entrepreneurship, 7th for Open for Business, 12th for Power and Cultural Influence, and 19th for Adventure. Canada is an amazing well-rounded country that has tons of opportunities for everyone!
